The Kodaikanal Hill Station which is most commonly referred to simply as Kodai is an amazing place to visit while in India, not only for its natural and awe inspiring beauty, but also for it world renowned institutes for higher learning. The region also boasts a start shape lake in which the local boat club offers rentals as well as boat trips that are both scenic as well as fast paced.

The Solar Physical Laboratory in Kodaikanal Hill Station was founded back in 1898 and is the only one in the country. Furthermore, near by the labs at Bryant Park there are a number of annual horticulture events of which the biggest is held every year during May.

A great point to visit while at Kodaikanal Hill Station is Coaker’s Walk which is a hiking trail that offers some of the most amazing views of the surrounding plains and natural scenery around the hill station. If you are looking for a great view while up in the Kodaikanal Hill Station, a good place to check out is the Dolphin’s Nose which is a protruding rock atop an overhanging cliff which offers some of the most breathtaking views in the region.
