Nasik Tourist Places

Nasik is located in the North western part of Maharashtra, and is considered to be an important pilgrimage center for the Hindus. This place is enriched with culture and tradition, and there are plenty of places to see in and around Nasik. This is the reason for which it pulls large numbers of tourists from different corners of the world.

Some of the common places to visit in and around Nasik include:

Bhakti Dham:
This is a place near Nasik and is well known because of the large numbers of temples that are located here. It is quite rich in culture and tradition, and therefore, it is also considered to be one of the most well known visited places by the tourists, especially by the pilgrims.

Nandur Madhmeshwar:
This is a place that is located at a distance of about 60 km from Nasik, and is mainly famous for a bird sanctuary located here. This is the reason for which it is considered to be the paradise of the bird lovers. It offers home to large numbers of migratory birds.

Dudhsagar waterfalls:
This waterfall is actually situated at Someshwar in Nasik, and is also one of the most picturesque spots here. The waterfalls here are about 10 m long, and are milky white in color, and this is from where it derives its name.

Bhandardara:

It is a small and a peaceful area that is located at a distance of 70km from Nasik. It is a popular spot for the tourists and is one of the best picnic spots in this area. There is also a Bhandardara Dam and lake located here along with an ancient temple.

Jawahar:
It is basically a hill station in the district of Thane and located quite close to Nasik. It is surrounded with thick forests in the exotic valleys.
