Perur Lord Shiva Temple –
Perur temple is seven kilometers away from west Coimbatore. This temple was built 1500 years ago by Karikal Cholan. This temple’s Golden Hall is the great attraction, there is a gold plated statue of Nataraja.Koniamman Temple – Koniamman Temple is situated in the heart of the city. This temple was built by Covan, 600 years ago. Place around the temple was known as Covanputhar and now became Coimbatore. This temple was dedicated to Goddess Koniamman.
Marudamalai Temple –
This temple is situated on the Marudhamalai hills. Marudamalai temple is around twelve kilometers away from Coimbatore. This temple is dedicated to Lord Dhandayuthapani.Bannari Amman Temple – Bannari Amman Temple is the most popular temple in Tamil Nadu. Bannari is situated on the north west wall of Kongu Nadu. Eachanari Vinayagar Temple – Eachanari Vinayagar Temple is situated ten kilo meter away Coimbatore. Eachanari Vinayagar Temple is the oldest temple in Coimbatore. This temple was established in 1500 A.D.

VOC Park is dedicated to V.O. Chidambaram Pillai, one of the Indian stalwarts in the fight for freedom. Major attractions of the park include a mini zoo with a large number of reptiles, birds and mammals; an aquarium having a good collection of different species of fish and a garden with models of prehistoric dinosaurs. The VOC Park is an interesting place to visit in Coimbatore, especially if you are accompanied by kids. The children’s play area hosts swings, sliders, seesaw, a toy train for joyrides, etc. The VOC Park is open from 4 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. on all weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 7.30 p.m on weekends and holidays.Coimbatore Govt Museum – Its just opposite to the VOC Zoo & Park, and in the Nehru stadium complex, the Government Museum is located among the shops. Kodaikanal –
Kodaikanal is around 138 kilometers away from Coimbatore and lies on the southern tip of Palani hills. It is the most famous hill station in South India due to the its – waterfalls, misty cool air, crystal clear spring and dense greenery. Kodaikanal is also famous for the Kurinji flower that blooms once in twelve years.Mudumalai Wild Life Sanctuary – Mudumalai Wild Life Sanctuary is located at the distance of sixty seven kilometers. Dhayanalinga –
Dhayanalinga is a multi religious temple situated around thirty kilometers away from the city. The temple is located at foot of vellingiri hills. Dhayanalinga temple was established by Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev. The height of Dhayanalinga is 13’9” and the largest ever seen. It’s constructed of only lime, brick, mud, herb and alum no metals used. Amavasya and Pournima are special days to visit here.Top Slip – Top slip is around ninety kilometers away from Coimbatore. It is situated on Anamalai hills. Thirumurthy Dam – Thirumurthy Dam is located in the foot of Thirumurthy hills. This Dam lies on the Palani to Coimbatore highway. This place is developed as the district excursion center.
