Bakkhali tourist spot

Bakkhali is certainly a great place which is located in West Bengal, and is located at a distance of about 134 km from Kolkata. This is considered to be the perfect place for relaxing, especially during the summers. Apart from that, monsoon is also a wonderful time to visit this place. This is basically a beach town, and there are spectacular views that one can expect to find here. Bakkhali is one of the best getaway place from Kolkata. The sea waves of the Bay of Bengal are something that can offer unique experiences to the tourists.

There are many places to see in and around Bakkhali. These include:

Frasergunj Sea Beach:

This is a very popular sea beach in Bakkhali and is about 6 km long. It is the silver sands in the beach that offers of the most interesting and enriching views in the entire beach area. It is just about 2 km from this beach town. It is visited by large numbers of tourists.

Jambu Dwip:
This is located at a distance of 8 km from the main beach, and tourists can reach here by boat, which altogether offers a wonderful experience to the tourists. This is basically the southernmost island and therefore remains uninhabited for few months, when it goes under water.

Henry Island:

This is one of the most visited islands in Bakkhali because of the wonderful beach and sea waves along with the lush green mangrove forests surrounding the island. It is basically 10 minutes ride by car from Bakkhali and therefore, can easily be visited.

Bhagabatpur Crocodile Forest:
This is a renowned project in the Sunderbans and is home to wide varieties of crocodiles with variation in their ages. This is basically considered to be crocodile breeding farm with large numbers of estuarines in it. This is the reason for which this spot is also very popular.

Sagar island:

Located 20km back on the road Bakkhali to Namkhana from where the sacred river Ganges passes. Sagar muni temple is the main attraction, others are Sagar marine par and Sagar lighthouse. This place is famous as pilgrimage for the Sagar Mela.
