ChandraTal Lake or the moon lake is the best place to choose if you like natural beauties. Here you will feel like going to the land of moon. It is located exactly in the district of Spiti and Lahaul in Himachal Pradesh which is in India. The circumference of the ChandraTal Lake is about 2.5 kms and the water here is very deep and blue. The Chandra River gets the water from this lake and it is the only source of water. ChandraTal Lake used to be the halting place at a time for the traders who need to go to valleys of Kullu and Spiti. If you want to reach Kullu and Spiti from Ladak or Tibet you need to pass through this lake. This is the best place for the mountaineers who love trekking and rock climbing. The ranges are namely Chandrabhaga and Moulkila.
