Fun things to do in Shimla

The summer capital of the British has been our choice of visit when we started to think of the holiday this season. We needed to find the best places for Shimla tour and so we can search the different sites that give us information for such a tour. The Shimla tourism is a journey to the hill station that is in the Himachal Pradesh and welcome people with wide open hands when we drop in to the hill town amidst the dense forest that spreads over the hills. The streets and the salubrious mountains rising over the town welcome different types of people each and every day to share the natural habitat.


Things to do in Shimla

Trekking – There are a few places that gives you a great option to go for trekking in the city of Shimla. The lonely roads and mountainous backdrop is a good environment to go for trekking. The beautiful Himalayas are the best places for trekking and enjoying the scenario and adventure. The different hills and terrains are there to give you option for trekking as per your schedule and you need to find out which guides can offer you gear and guides for the trekking purpose. You can choose treks for a long period or a short one that can be as per your schedule.


Paragliding in Shimla – The sport is recently introduced in this area but it has become popular for the people to try to check about this and – with help of instructors, try out the different heights of paragliding. It is most sought after sport now and the experience of height and then smoothly gliding down to reach the land is an exhilarating experience. It is a combination of parachuting and gliding and together it gives a new feel to anyone who has not got such experience. There are trainers who teach in air the way you should control the glider and the Kangra valley is the place that provides this experience in Shimla.

Golfing – This was the summer capital of the British and hence there are places made by them to play golf to spend time. Shimla has got several expanses that are used for the perfect golf course. The golf is a favorite sport in Shimla and tourists find time to try out this sport when they visit the City. Naldehra is one such course – oldest in India and the foundation was led by Lord Curzon and is now a nine hole golf course. The other one in Shimla is the Annadale which is also a nine hole course in a beautiful expanse of green and cold breeze.
Fishing – This is a popular recreation in Shimla and you will find many shallow streams that gives you opportunities for fishing and so it is often mentioned as angler’s paradise. The world’s best sport – the fish is is in abundance in the shallow waters and you can find that this is the most engaging way to spend your day in Shimla. The up streams of Rohru are a good place for you to choose and sit in patience for that nip in your net. There is a trout hatchery in Chirgaon that you can try out if you are interested in those small things in your net and you might get the best of the breeds – the Brown trouts and the Rainbow trouts.
