Hogenakkal Falls is considered as the Niagara of India and it is located in the state of Tamilnadu. It is a very exiting tourist attraction for the national as well as international tourists. Hogenakkal is situated as regards 750 feet above sea level in the middle of the Melagiri Hills. The entire route to the Hogenakkal Falls is beautiful, with flourishing mulberry fields along with huge terracotta guardian deities. An additional attraction is the diving skills of local children, who can demonstrate their diving skills for a charge. They can jump for you from a height of around 30 feet into the water and go up directly up back on the rocks in an instant and they just take Rs. 5 for all that from a spectator.
