Located 180km from Aizawl, Champhai is picturesque with rhododendrons crowding the surrounding hills.

Bara Bazaar of Aizawl is the main market, you can buy handicraft and hand-loom items, Do not miss to buy Khumbeu ceremonial bamboo hat made of waterproof wild Hnathial leaves.Climate : The climate is cool in summer and not very cold in winter. It rains heavily from May to September. Best time to visit Mizoram is November to March.
