Places in India that celebrate Republic Day with great zeal

The parade, the celebration, nothing match the fervor of Republic Day. It is on this day when Dr. BR Ambedkar a great social reformist wrote our constitution describing our rights and tenets. It is a grand event held in many parts of India and is celebrated with a great zeal.  If you wear patriotism on your sleeves and has a strong love towards your motherland; visiting these destinations would be a great.

NEW DELHI

New Delhi is a center of Republic Day celebration. On this day, a colourful parade is organized that displays our military might and cultural diversity at Kartavya Path. The parade is presided by the president of India. The flag is hoisted by armed forces and children and every year the country foreign dignitary is invited as chief guest to witness the parade-this year Egypt’s president Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi was guest of honour. One of the main functions of the day is to pay tribute to our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country.

Various awards are conferred to the military people, citizens and children for showing courage inspite of adversaries. The celebrations are held for four days. The chief guest of function the President of India arrives in  a cavalry unit escorted by President Body Guards. The president arrival is earmarked by National salute and unfurling of National Flag of India. And then the pomp and pleasure begins! It is followed by our national anthem Jan Gan Man and military bands, pipes, trumpets and drum band from various army regiments. Besides that there is a band one from Navy and the other from Air Force.  The grandest celebrations take place after the parade, various tableaus are displayed that strengthens our belief in our cultural diversity.

Also,  in various schools and colleges the celebrations are made

 

MUMBAI

Mumbai people attend the republic day parade at Shivaji Park in central Mumbai. Here at Shivaji Park the Governor of Maharashtra state hoist the national flag. Students from various institutions are set to parade. Local Mumbai Police, Indian Navy, and different Maharashtra forces are part of the parade contingencies. Most of the political dignitaries are accompanied by the Governor.

TRIPURA

Republic day celebrations are being celebrated in the various parts of the state with patriotic fervor. Celebrations begin with unfurling the National flag at residential houses, government, and semi-government offices, business complexes, and various street corners.

SRINAGAR

There are numerous celebrations all over. The national flag is unfurled at Shere-Kashmir-Stadium. Students from various institutions perform cultural programs in the stadium.

COIMBATORE

Here too republic day celebrations are made with great enthusiasm. VOC park near Nehru Stadium is packed with crowds since early morning to watch the ceremony. The Collector of the district hoists the flag and accepts the guard of honor from various paramilitary teams like fire personnel, home guards, police forces, NCC, and Traffic Police cadets.

Apart from the above places mentioned this celebration is made at every nook and corner of the nation.
