Amer Fort
At a short distance of 11 kms . from Jaipur, the Amer Fort complex stands amidst wooded hills overlooking the Delhi-Jaipur highway, with its forbidding ramparts reflected in the still waters of the Maota Lake below. One of the finest examples of Rajput architecture, it was the ancient capital of the Kachhawah rulers. The original palace was built by Raja Man Singh and additions were made later by Sawai Jai Singh. Within the palace are the Diwan-e-Aam or the “Hall of Public Audience”, the Diwan-e-Khas or the “Hall of Private Audience” and the Sukh Niws where a cool breeze blows across channels of water for the purpose of air-conditioning. Here are the private chambers of the queens with windows having latticed screens so that the ladies could watch the proceedings of the royal court inprivacy. There is also the Jai Mandir or the “Temple of Vicotry”, with its famed Sheesh Mahal, the scintillating “Hall of Mirrors”
City Palace
The City Palace represents a subtle mix of Rajput and Mughal style of design. Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, the magnificent structure exhibits the architectural excellence of the period. It occupies a large area divided into a series of courtyards, gardens and buildings. Some of the structures situated inside are built by other rulers. Mubarak Mahal, built by Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh, was used as a Reception Palace. Now the place is transformed into a museum of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II. Nahargarh Fort

Chandra Mahal

Albert Hall (Central Museum)

Jal Mahal, water palace
An 18th century pleasure palace, perched amidst Mansagar Lake, Jal Mahal is noted for its complicated design and majestic structural design. Situated across the cenotaphs, there is causeway that leads us to the Jal Mahal Palace. The lake on which Jal Mahal stands is located between the cities Amber and Jaipur. Except on the south side, the 300 acre lake is guarded by the Aravalli Hills. The lake in its closest vicinity towards north east holds a temple complex. The other attractions surrounding the lake include Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Khilangarh Fort, and Kanak Vrindavan Valley.
Jal Mahal palace reflects rich Rajput style of architecture and contains five stories. During the monsoon, when the lake overflows the lake leaves the 5th story of the palace for tourist’s view with the other four floors underwater. The roof of the Palace contains a rectangular Chhatri which is constructed in Bengali Style. The Chhatri are also built on all the four sides adhering to the rules of Hindu Vasthu Shastra.
Jantar Mantar
Jantar Mantar was built by Maharaja Jai Sing II in 1728. It is an astronomical observatory consisting of several structures that were used for astronomical measurements. From Equinoctial Sundial to instrument measuring the zenith distance of Sun are located at The Jantar Mantar Observatory. Some of the instruments built are Vrihat Samrat Yantra, Jai Prakash Yantra, Nadivalaya Yantra, Kapala Yantra, Chakra Yantra, Dakshinottara Bhitti Yantra, Sasthamsa Yantra and Krantivritta Yantra.
Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh:
This magnificent garden was built by Sawai Jai Singh II for his Sisodia Queen – The Sisodia Rani-ka-Bagh. It consists of tiered multi-level gardens with fountains, watercourses and painted pavilions. Amongst others, the best-preserved one is Vidyadhar-ka-Bagh, constructed by the builder of the city, Vidyadhar, with shady trees, flowing water, an open pavilion and suites of living rooms.
Vidyadhar’s Garden
Built in the memory of Vidyadhar, the architect of the Pink City, it is situated 7 kms. east of Jaipur in a narrow valley surrounded by high hills. It has been renovated recently and used to be the former vineyard of the royalty. This is a terraced garden with fountains, pool and other features of a formal royal resort.
Jagat Shiromani Temple
The beautifully carved Jagat Shiromani Temple houses the idol of Lord Krishna. This temple is popularly associated with the celebrated saint-poetess Mira Bai. The old temple Narsinghji and a step well Panna Main-ki-Baodi, which still bears witness to its past glory are also located in the vicinity.
Govind Devji Temple
To the north of Chandra Mahal in the midst of the sprawling Jai Niwas Garden is the spireless temple of Lord Krishna. The idol wsa brought from Vrindavan and installed here by Sawai Jai Singh II as the tutelary deity. Today, the temple attracts devotees, from all over the country. A delightful system of fountains is placed in the middle of the paved path between the Chandra Mahal and the Badal Mahal. The palace has extensive and sprawling gardens.
Galtaji
An ancient pilgrimage centre, lying beyond the gardens amidst low hills. Temples, pavilions and holy kunds (natural spring and reservoirs) along with lush landscape make it a delightful spot. The small temple of the Sun god, built by Diwan Kriparam on the top of the highest peak is visible from all parts of the city.
Moti Dungri Temple

Kanak Vrindavan Valley
Kanak Vrindavan Valley is an exotic place in the desert lands of Jaipur, Rajasthan. This is situated in the bottom of Nahargarh hills adjoining the Amber Fort, on Jaipur-Amber Road. According to past records, the beautiful green valley was labeled as Kanak Vrindavan Valley by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, almost 280-years ago. The valley seemed like a mythological Vrindavan (Land of Lord Krishna) to the King, consequently he installed an idol of Shri Govind Deoji in the complex. This Temple, with its beautiful and delicate carvings, spreads a holy aura of spirituality all over the valley. On the side of Kanak valley, there flows Dharbawati River which soothes the environment with the cool breeze.
Statue Circle

Ram Niwas Bagh
