Popular Places To Visit In Bhopal

Bhopal, the capital town of Madhya Pradesh is the unmatched place of glory, and is considered to be one of the best visited places here. The place is wrapped with rich historical values, due to which travellers in this place are reminded of the glorious history of the past. Afghans and the Muhgals were closely associated with this town, and there are plenty of places to visit in this place.

Some of the places to visit in Bhopal include:

Laxmi Narayan Temple:

This temple is also often referred to as the Birla Temple was built in order to commemorate the deities of Hindu. This is a sandy yellow edifice that is largely embellished with wide varieties of idols of different Gods and Goddesses. Birla Museum is also located adjacent to this and offers a wonderful storehouse of art and artefacts.

Shaukat Mahal:
This is a palace that generally exhibits the post renaissance and Gothic architectural patterns. In fact, it is often considered to be a beautiful amalgamation of occidental architecture and oriental architectural styles. It is popular because it is strikingly different from that of any other Muslim monuments.

Taj-ul Masjid:

This is also a very beautiful mosque in India, which generally means the crown of the mosques. It is basically an imposing landmark of Bhopal. The facade of this masjid is pink, while the minarets are white domes. It stands high and soars to the skyline in a remarkable fashion.

Sadar Manzil:
This is located near the Shaukat Mahal and is also an attractive site for the tourists. There is a bygone grandeur of the Nawabi era of Bhopal and this is the reason for which it offers an enchanting view, as a whole.

Upper And Lower Lakes:
These lakes are largely responsible for contributing to the beauty of the landscape in Bhopal, and the artwork is also noticeable.

Gohar Mahal
The Mahal is a magnificent expression of the fusion of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Located on the banks of the Upper Lake, behind Shaukat Mahal, is Gohar Mahal, which is an architectural gem dating back to the times of Kudsia Begum, also known as Gohar Begum, who built this sprawling palace in 1820.

Bharat Bhawan

Bharat Bhawan is a centre for the performing and visual arts. Designed by renowned architect, Charles Correa, the contours of Bharat Bhawan merge in exquisite harmony with the landscape creating a visual impact of spacious and natural elegance.

Van Vihar Safari Park
Covering almost 500 hectares in distance and housing some of the greatest and most endangered species – rarely witnessed all in the same grounds. The Van Vihar Safari Park is one of the most mature and large scale zoos in the world.
