Sightseeing at Paro

With summer holidays approaching, there remains a question which sightseeing location is the best. Well, the options are endless, but if you are a travel enthusiast and wish to travel to an offbeat location, nothing can beat the trip to Paro.

Paro is a picturesque beauty nestled among the green valley and verdant landscape. The beauty of this valley cannot be comprehended in words. Here, we have enlisted the destinations that are worth visit Taktsang Lhakhang- popularly referred to as the Tiger Nest. The destination is an iconic sight to visit and is one of the major attractions to visit. This monastery is enveloped with green valleys and trees to offer the visitors a splendid experience. The monastery is accessible through trekking and it requires 3-4 hours of continuous trailing on rocky mountains. The mountains was constructed in 1692 and there is a cave with a legend associated with it and it is believed that here Guru Rinpoche used to meditate to get salvation. He chanted the God’s name for a long time along with his wife (tigress). It is counted one among the UNESCO World Heritage site. Chele La Pass- this pass bridges the gap between Paro and unexplored valleys of Bhutan, also referred to as Haa Valley. Situated at height of 13000 feet, the pass offers stunning views of the mountains and the route passes through lush green valleys, pine and other forests. The visitors can also have a majestic view of holy mountains, if the weather is pleasant. Rinchen Pung Dzong- It was once used to be a meeting hall. Now the place has been transformed into a government office. The tourists are not allowed to access the whole area, but the location is famous for grand architecture. It was constructed in 1644 with an aim to defend Paro against the enemy nations. Outside the fort, the group of dancers performs the local dance in order to attract the audience. Below the valley, there is a contemporary bridge which got destroyed in the flood. The courtyard of Dzong can be accessed by the tourists any day but on weekdays the entry to particular areas are prohibited. Airport View Point- The international airport in Bhutan is counted among the top 10 stunning and wonderful airports among the world. It is one among the most challenging airport where only 8 pilots are certified. The nearby peaks are located stunning. The surrounding places are enveloped with green beauty, lofty mountains, and this make an enchanting and lively experience. Druk Choeding Temple- It is a main town located in Paro which was constructed by Ngawang Chogyel, and the temple was constructed by 16th century AD and it includes old shrine preserve, artifacts, deity, and Gyenyen Jampa, who is known to be the future and is a protector Gyenyen. Also, visit you can visit the local  market and visit local archery show. The National Museum- The National Museum encapsulates the heritage of Bhutan and the museum includes artifacts of that era. It is one among the few educational institutes which captures the history of different countries. The museum was constructed in 1968 and was built in 17th century. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of Paro valley. Here, you can see the collection of fine arts, paintings, record stamps, and the popular triangular stamp that depicts yeti which is among the favorite. The other part of the museum showcases the traditional dress of Bhutan, handicrafts, jewelry, etc. In the end, we want to conclude that this Indian destination will liberate you and will set you free.
