Udupi is a small town situated in the Indian state of Karnataka in the southern part of the country and is also a well known tourist destination. The town has a prominent history and culture of its own which it has managed to preserve quite well. There are a number of interesting sightseeing destinations in this town, the most famous of which is of course the Krishna Temple.
The Krishna Temple is a large temple that was constructed several hundred years ago and there is no entry ticket to be bought in order to get inside of it. Prayers are offered in the evening hours as well as in the early morning and late morning hours and one will have to take off one’s shoes before entering the temple. The temple is open on all days of the week and is open also for as long as until ten in the night.
The Malpe Beach is also a place that one should make one’s way to when arriving at the town of Udupi. The beach is a public beach and travelers can be found crowding around over here at all hours of the day. One can engage in the task of gorging on street food at this particular beach.
The Malpe Beach is best viewed in the early hours of the morning when it is quite peaceful and quiet over here and one can take part in activities like sandcastle building and fishing as well. There are good hired car services which one can use in order to get to the beach without experiencing any trouble in locating this destination in the first place. The beach looks especially beautiful in the evening hours as well, with all the lights around the place being very well lit.
