Where to spend summer vacations in India?

Traveling in India is like an emotional roller coaster ride full of twist and turns. As the sweltering summer approaches, students and teachers start rejoicing in anticipation of the vacations that is yet to come. The scorching sun seems to bring good news for everyone. You have a good opportunity to travel with your family to a place that has little to do with rising temperature. Here are some locations that are worth a visit.

KASHMIR:  This is a valley of fun and adventure here there are several destinations to visit- Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Srinagar.  Here one spent some leisure time at any of hotel or resort. The major activities that tourist can indulge in are camping, tent- stay trekking to Thajiwas Glacier, fishing or shikara ride in Dal lake.

LADAKH: It is a unique and incredible place to visit. The best place to visit with family is the Leh region. Here during summers temperature remains constant and you can enjoy a pleasant atmosphere. There are several monasteries and Stupas to visit.

MANALI: This too is an exceptionally beautiful place which adds to the grace of Himachal Pradesh. This place is highly frequented by travelers. The snow-covered mountains, the evening scarlet sky and the picture perfect Rohtang Pass, all these will create a perfect getaway for summer vacations.

DHARMSHALA: The mighty range of Dhauladhar does the magic for this place. This valley is overlooked by lofty snow-clad mountains. Dharamshala a calm and composed hill station which allows being a perfect holiday.

SHIMLA: An ideal destination to spend your holiday in India. It offers a delightful experience to the families who are looking for adventure and comfort at the same time.

DARJEELING: Being called as a jack of holidays and the queen of summers and is a popular hill destination in India. The toy train ride can be enjoyed with entire family. Darjeeling –Rangit passenger cable car offers a thrilling  experience to the tourists.

SIKKIM: Sikkim is the second smallest state in the country. There are a number of destinations to visit like Pelling, Gangtok, Ravangla are to visit for the holidays. Sikkim is admired for its beauty.

OOTY: The crown of Nigiri district it is also called as queen of hill station in south India. Landscapes and the soothing climate make it one of the most popular hill stations.

Kodaikanal: The charming city of Kodaikanal is another destination for summer vacation. The city has a pleasing environment that keep visitors relaxed.

WAYANAD:  Situated in Kerala Wayanad, the city is blended perfectly with culture and nature and reflects a pleasing picture to the tourists.

Shillong  the fresh mountain air and the clear blue sky a powerful combination that makes your excursion in shilling remarkable.

MUNNAR: Sprawling tea gardens coffee plants and cardamom, all this describes the city of Munnar. It is a pleasing place to visit during summer.

MUSSOORIE: Situated at the elevation of 2000mtrs is the popular destination in India. Kempty falls is a major tourist destination to indulge in.

NAINITAL: Nainital is a small hill station situated at the height of 1900meters above the sea level boating in the lake is being enjoyed by the tourists.

RANIKHET: Around 63kms away from Nainital is A picturesque hill station. It is an ideal destination for a laidback tourist.
